Pink Saturday at Delores Park

It was the best of times the worst of times.  Last minute hotel reservations during the busiest weekend of the year in San Francisco sucked.  We ended up in an armpit of a Roadhouse and they gouged us $190. to stay in the heap for one night.  I'm just happy that i'm not all itchy today.
Delores Park was full of sunshine and queers in a Babylonian babe-land. The best outfits you will ever see in your life occur there every year.  I just love to pop a squat with my gf and drink beers and watch the on slot.  There's always some sort of drama like seeing an old flame with their newbie or your girlfriends last crush before you came along.  I met my ex girlfriends new girlfriend and I brought my girlfriend and we all had dinner at a great little pub on Mission St.  That wasn't the drama though.  So and so broke up with so and so nine months ago and one could not stand to see the other.  We were caught on the fence for a hot minute between the enemy and the comfortable crowd on the lawn.  Butt-hurt was all wasted giving means looks and flipping  the bird.  We were kindly accepted in the lawn crowd once we could slink in.  After that it was more of a homecoming/family reunion.
I really dig the marches.  Even the ones as pathetic as Santa Cruz Dyke march.  It makes me feel a little weird that people are watching us like we are some clowns walking down the street.  Do I look like a clown?  Do I amuse you??  (last two lines I was channeling Talia Rizzi)  I just feel happy.  Gay.

blip of blab about SC PRIDE 2010

Last Saturday Jaguar Gina saved my life.  She only dresses in drag one day a week and this time it was a triple animal print outfit with visor.  Sound person, love her.  She  fixed my input jack and set me "forward" for the weekend.  Let's just say she has all the right parts.
Muther Trucker! Three sets in two days.  Its kind of like being on tour in a 2 block radius... talk about chasing your tail.  It's my second year and I do it because I love it.  I love this town.  What am I gonna do?
Sunday was bitchin.   Frooties pulled off Gaga- i think.  I got my dream come true stage full of dancers with Beaver Fever.  The Beaverettes were adorable!  Look out San Francisco cause we are coming for you next!

Blue Mountain State

Kick ass news!
Yesterday we were contacted by a set designer from the spike tv network who wants to use our CD release show poster on the set of Blue Mountain State.  The show starts it second season this fall and is shown in many countries.
The World Class Clams limited edition poster is available online through etsy and the store is called Strange Child.  All Beaver Fever artwork is by a very talented woman who is best known as Farouche.  Keep your eye out for this up and coming artist!
     Rock tough!

night of the flying acrobats

I learned a lot at last nights show at Coaster's bar and as Socrates so brilliantly stated so many years ago "all learning is accompanied by pain".  That muther muffin guy was right!  My sound guy did not show up with the PA and the first band was already supposed to be playing by the time we decided to take matters into our own hands and make a run back to the East side of town for our rig.
An old burnt out rocker was  going around the room offering random people marsh mellos and holding up the entertainment end for us till we could get our shit together and get Midnight Mojo on the stage.  Just one of the perks of playing by the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.
Anyhow, Marissa and Millard made the crowd swoon with their beautiful brother/sister harmonies before to long and the show was officially rolling.
The Thralls made their SC debut and many of the older rockers in the  crowd   didn't really jive with the Indy rock thing and most of the room cleared, but they did have some new fans who stuck around, thankfully.
Several Whiskeys and beers later it was our turn to take the stage.  We kicked the show off with our catchy tune Wasted and got people to their feet.  Next we went straight punk rock for three songs and unleashed the freak fest that was going to entertain us for the rest of the night.  Girls were tumbling across the floor and jumping on top of one another in a friendly fighting sort of way.  Others were quick to join in.  An "older" blond woman in red plad pants stole the show with her ass waving dance style like I'd never seen.  Then came the tumblers right at me and Bam!  My microphone bashed into my mouth and instantly Marissa and I pulled our mic stands back ten feet toward Talia and opened up the floor for the craziness.
The house was again packed so we kept playing straight through our set and all the encore songs we'd planned just because the crowd was so hot we couldn't stop.  Fifteen songs later, drenched in sweat with a slightly fatter lip than before we packed up our gear with the audience begging for more.
I'm going to go ahead and look into some dental insurance before our next show at Santa Cruz PRIDE.  Hope to see you there!
